Today, I had the opportunity to participate in the Use of Unmanned Air Vehicles (UAV) Technologies, Legal Boundaries and hashtag#Ethical Responsibilities Training Symposium held at PolisAkademisi Gölbaşı Campus Ali Birinci Cultural Center. Today, I had the opportunity to attend the opening ceremony of the “Symposium on the Use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (hashtag#UAV) Technologies, Their Legal Limits, and Ethical Responsibilities,” held at the Ali Birinci Cultural Center on the Gölbaşı Campus of the Police Academy. This training, which focused on the areas of application, legal framework, and ethical responsibilities of hashtag#UAVtechnologies, proved to be highly productive, combining theoretical knowledge with field-based practical exercises. The opportunity to hear from leading experts in the field share their knowledge and experience was an extremely valuable and instructive experience for us.

NATO Dynamics Simulate Event

Within the scope of the # NATODynamicsSimulate event held at the Official Residence of the Dutch Embassy, I worked as a representative of Finland in the NATO Communication and Information Agency (NCIA) unit. This comprehensive simulation offered the opportunity to practically experience crisis management, strategic communication, operational decision-making processes and collective movement cycles from a NATO perspective. As the NCIA team, we have taken care to fulfill our duty in the best way by providing communication and coordination that will minimize cyber attacks within the scope of the scenario. I would like to express my sincere thanks to all stakeholders and participants who contributed to the implementation of this valuable organization. I would also like to thank the Dutch Embassy, which gave us this meaningful experience and hosted us. It was a great gain for me to meet valuable and experienced people throughout the event. Reuniting with my esteemed teacher Mr. Çağlar Kurç, who supported the process as a mentor during the event, was a separate source of pride and happiness for me.

8th Political Science and International Relations Congress

Today, I was in Trabzon for the 8th Political Science and International Relations Congress! On this special day, when I stepped into the Black Sea for the first time, it was an indescribable happiness for me to take part in one of the important stops of my academic journey. 💫 At the congress, I contributed by presenting a summary of my work on the Effects of Bayraktar TB2, MQ-9 Reaper and IAI Heron UAVs on Defense Diplomacy. Discussing how the defense industry has become an element of power in international relations has been a very nurturing experience for me, both academically and personally. Today, I had the opportunity to attend the "Industry Congress" organized by the CHAMBER OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERS of TMMOB and listen to the valuable discussions about the defense industry. In the morning and afternoon sessions, extensive assessments were conducted addressing the economic, technological and political dimensions of the sector. Especially, our teacher Arda Mevlütoğlu, Turkish Defense and Aviation Industry: Where is it today, where is it tomorrow? " Presentation and Caglar Kurc "It was a very productive session with the evaluation of the Current Situation of the Defense/Arms Industry and Foreign Policy. The congress was very productive in terms of seeing current developments in the defense industry from different perspectives and exchanging ideas for the future. I had the opportunity to participate in the fifth edition of the Capsule Program organized by the Defense Industry Academy. As a researcher working on defense industry policies, the topics covered in the program proved to be quite valuable and offered new perspectives. In this context, as my esteemed mentor, Deputy Chairman of the Defense Industry Prof. Dr. Hakan Karataş, noted in his speech, we need to acquire the capabilities to support innovation by keeping pace with technological advancements.

On modern battlefields, superiority is measured not by the number of platforms, but by data sharing among platforms, AI-supported decision-making mechanisms, and network-centric operational capabilities. I had the opportunity to visit HAVELSAN twice. The first was as part of the hashtag#DefenseIndustry Academy program, and the second was a personal visit. During these visits, hearing about the development processes of unmanned systems such as BAHA and BARKAN—and the engineering approach behind them—further deepened my perspective on defense technologies. The defense industry is not merely about manufacturing platforms or exporting products. The true value lies in the ability to develop software, artificial intelligence, systems engineering, cybersecurity, and advanced technology capabilities all under one roof. These capabilities not only ensure operational superiority but also contribute to the establishment of strategic partnerships between countries, the strengthening of trust, and the development of long-term diplomatic alliances.
